P.E. Days in first Autumn Term

Please remember to bring your PE Kit every Monday, for this half term.  We will have PE on a Thursday and Friday. Children should also bring plain black joggers and a jumper (or they can wear school jumper) as PE can be outside,

Homework

Reading is so important and we ask you to read as much as you can at home, at least 4 times a week. Children will be asked to complete a Reading Challenge based on their reading book in class. If you listen to your child read and want to let me know how they are doing you can record a comment on SeeSaw. Children will also have a Class reading book.

Reading Challenges will be completed each week. Children will bring home a homework folder with a Maths and comprehension challenge to complete each week.

Mathletics is a wonderful way for you to improve your Maths. Please make sure you practise on this website.  Try and aim for 1000 points each week which will earn you a Bronze Certificate.

Try to go on TT Rockstars for a few minutes each day, at least 4 times a week.  Challenge yourself to improve your Rock Status! For those children who do not access Mathletics and Times Table Rockstars they will bring home a weekly Maths homework which should be returned each Friday.

Finally, children can also use Spelling Frame to support their spelling in class. Try and do 5 minutes 4 days a week - this includes the spelling games.

Specific homework information and tasks may be given on Seesaw or as a worksheet.   Please return your homework or upload to Seesaw.

Any questions, please send me a message on Seesaw.

Snacks and Water

In Year 3, you may bring your own snack for break time.  Make sure it is a 'healthy snack' such as a piece of fruit or a plain biscuit.  It is also really important that you bring a bottle of water to school each day.  Please do not bring nuts or products with nuts in for snack as we are a nut free classroom.
